Waiting on the LORD

Isaiah 40:31
But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.
Psalm 62:1
Truly my soul waiteth upon God: from him cometh my salvation.
Psalm 46:10
Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth.
Exodus 14:13
And Moses said unto the people, Fear ye not, stand still, and see the salvation of the LORD, which he will shew to you to day: for the Egyptians whom ye have seen to day, ye shall see them again no more for ever.

Blessed is the man that heareth me, watching daily at my gates, waiting at the posts of my doors.

Questions
1. How can we “take care of God’s house”? Who is responsible for this? (God’s house refers to a space dedicated to worship and the gathering of God’s people.)
2. What does it mean to “wait on God”? (The steps vs the stops). See Psalm 31:23, Psalm 46:10, Psalm 62:1.
3. What are the results of waiting on God? See Isaiah 40:31.
4. What is required, but often neglected, when a Christian is going through struggles, depression or a storm? See Mark 6:48.
